Once again, Oklahoma has found a way to seemingly embarrass itself when no one thought it would. Who am I kidding everyone expects us to make a mockery of ourselves. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then let Chet you in(see what I did there) because Chet obviously didn’t. After losing 2 of their perennial Allstars in Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. The Thunder found itself against the ropes when pit against the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs and the “ALIEN” is exactly what he lived up to. It seems like Victor abducted the Thunder’s chance at a championship, he also gave our 3rd perennial Allstar’s confidence an out-of-body experience as he totally lost all confidence in himself during the game. At times it seems like his whole spirited was taken away from almost as if he’d seen a ghost or alien(see what I did again) because Chet obviously didn’t, I mean how can you be the tallest man in Oklahoma or 2nd while playing the Spurs and score no points during the 4th quarter? It makes absolutely no sense. To be honest we won those past games with the skin on our teeth but game 7 we could have actually won if Chet would have given us 15-20 points. I’m really frustrated because as an Oklahoman I took great pride in being from this state when we won a championship in 2025, even more, If we would have won the championship this year then this would have solidified us as “THE” NBA team to beat. We would have been on villain time to the whole basketball world. The real reason why nobody likes Oklahoma isn’t necessarily the idea of Shai flopping or getting free throws. The real reason everyone has Oklahoma is because We are the 5th worst state for raising a child, We are 50th in education, and not exhaustive but we are one of the unhealthiest states in America. No this is way past flopping it’s about what Oklahoma is compared to everyone else. In short, getting beat by Oklahoma is like getting beat by a bunch of retards. This is the real reason people don’t like Oklahoma because how can a state fail in so many living standards become #1? This is the reason why people are mad at Oklahoma. It’s the optics, and the optics aren’t marketable en masse. Don’t believe me, ok, what do you think about when you think about the lakers? California, sunny beach, parties. All of those things are marketable right? What do you think about when you hear New York? Big apple, Pizza, Upstate, New York fade, you get my point right? The optics for Oklahoma are basically like we are retards with a basketball and Chet Holmgren has the exact look of someone born and raised here in Oklahoma. He is the butthead, McLovin, or Napoleon dynamite and for the NBA it doesn’t make sense if this type of person beats us. It doesn’t make sense if Oklahoma beats us. And that game 7 just proved once again that we Okies choke when it matters the most just like Oklahoma football but that’s another post.
